A visit with the family

We had the best time on Saturday.  Mom & Dad loaded us in the car and advised we were going for a visit with Mom's family.

We were so excited since we don't get to visit with them very often!

Here I am with our Uncle Ken.

and his wife, Aunt Lisa

Brutus chillin' with Dad

I took a nap on Dad's lap - visiting is alot of work, you have to make sure everyone has enough kisses and you have to hang around to catch any food crumbs that may fall.

I slept on Mom for awhile too :)

Check out these cool cattail sculptures that our Uncle Bryan made - you can check out more of his sculptures here.  These are all made with scrap metal - from trash to treasures!

I had to inspect all of them of course.

We went for a walk around grandma & grandpa's.

Mom found this cool looking stump of a dead tree.

Before we knew it, it was time to go home - we had a ton of fun!

Brutus watching the scenery pass by.

Mom & Dad told me they would get me my own Fido Rido, since Brutus likes his so much.

It was such a great day as it always is when we get to visit with family.  Hope everyone had a great weekend like we did!

A new toy bin...

Mom and dad have been getting tired of all of our toys piled up in the corner so they got a basket to put our toys in.  The only problem is that it is a bit too tall for us to get our toys out easily.

Don't just stand there Brutus, help me figure out how to get our toys out!

No way to get in it from this side.

Hey Brutus, I have an idea!

Ah Ha!  Just tip it over and now we have easy access!

Uh, oh - mom doesn't look too happy about this.

Oh, well.  Back to digging out my favorite stuffy :)

Mom and dad seem to think it looks better standing upright.  We disagree since we need to have access to our stuffies at a moments notice!  Still trying to figure out how to get in the closet to get at the stash of stuffies that mom & dad have hidden in there.  Something about rotating stuffies - we think we should be able to have all of our stuffies available all the time!  One of these days we will figure out how to release those stuffies being held captive.

Our 100th Post and a Birthday too!!

Wow, can't believe we are at 100 posts!  It seems like just yesterday when mom told us that we were going to start blogging.  We have met so many nice dogs and their humans since we started doing this.
A big thank you to everyone who follows our little blog.  Who knew so many people would be interested in the goings on of two little pugs from Indiana - we sure didn't :)

Today also happens to be Brutus's Birthday - he is six years old today.

Mom says she stills him as a little baby pug though...

A couple of mom's favorite pictures of Brutus

I overheard mom and dad saying something about getting extra treats tonight to celebrate Brutus's Birthday...Maybe we will get some Moo Tubes!  Even better is that Mom says she is taking the day off tomorrow and will be home all day - we are hoping it is nice tomorrow so she will take us to the park.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

We interrupt this Wordless Wednesday for: Weekend Visitor - Part 2....

Eli is a pretty fun pug to be around.  There is one thing in our household that just fascinated him....actually that would be three things...
Einstein

Max

and Miko

Mom and dad put up the baby gates so that Eli would not chase the kitties all over the house.  So Eli decided that he would just watch the gates waiting for a kitty to jump over so he could play with them.
Waiting....

The kitties were always to quick for him and he never did catch any of them...we tried to tell him they were too quick, but he was so fascinated he had to try for himself :)

On Sunday Eli joined me, Yoda, in guarding the house from the squirrels and anything and everything else that we thought might be a threat.

Eli got a bit cold so I let him borrow one of our sweatshirts...looks pretty good in it too!

and then some belly scritches from dad...

almost time for Eli to go home so we chilled on the couch.

Brutus was sad to see his new friend go too.

All too soon it was time for Eli to go home...but something tells us he will be back again to play with us soon.

We also would like to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day - hope everyone is wearing their green :)
