Pure Heaven...

Ellie here at the keyboard again...  Don't tell Yoda & Brutus.

So, last night I got to go with Mom and Dad to the park since Dad had a softball game.  I was looking forward to getting out of the house and leaving the stinky boys at home!!

While on our way, I heard mom tell dad to stop at Starbucks.  I wasn't sure what this place was and was a bit curious.  We went through the drive-thru and I didn't really pay much attention to what was going on since there were so many things to look at outside.

We pulled away from the drive-thru and mom asked me if I wanted my pup cup.... um, my what?  I had never heard of such a thing.  Let's just say that a pup cup is pure heaven!!!!!  I know I am only 8 months old, but how have I never had one of these before???

Obedience Class - round 2

Ellie here at the keyboard.  I have to tell you all about the round 2 of obedience class.

The last two weeks have been pawsome - I have figured out that if I do what mom and/or dad want me to, I get treats - lots and lots of treats!!  Not to say that I don't still express my true self to them - but, um... treats are delicious!!

Last night was our second class for obedience training.  Since the first class I have learned how to sit and how to  look at mom or dad when they say "watch me" (this is usually followed by a treat).

This week the instructor tried to teach me how to lay down....  hahahaha - not a chance!  My butt kept sliding on the slick floor and I was afraid I was going to fall down.  Something tells me that there will be plenty of treats in the near future to get me to lay down.  The second part of class was loose leash walking - I didn't do too bad, but every time I pulled on the leash we would stop walking!  Only once I looked back at Mom, who was holding the leash, did we move forward again.

The thing that Mom said she is most proud of me for last night is that I barely barked at all!!  She gave me extra treats for being so good....  A pug could get used to this :)

Learning new things is tiring...

Blogoversary!!

OMP!!  We almost missed that our Blogoversary was today!!!

We can't believe we have been doing this for two whole years already.  It seems like just yesterday that mom started this blog for us just to have a little bit of fun.  We never thought we would make so many furiends through the blogs!   We have met several of you in the fur and everyone is always so nice :)

Several of those furiends we had a chance to meet at pug meetup that was this morning - we will do a post on that later.

We just wanted to say Thank You to all of our followers - we wouldn't be doing this without all of you!!

A Taste of Her Own Medicine....

Hi everyone!  Yoda here (that darn little Ellie has been trying to take over my duties as blog master)...

Anyway, yesterday afternoon Mom and Dad both came home early from work - yay!!!!!  After a little while they started to get their cameras and also Ellie's collar and harness, so we knew something was up.

Come to find out, they took Ellie to see her Auntie Annie (she is the one who hand raised and fed Ellie and her pup brother and sister since their pug momma couldn't).  Without Annie's dedication, Ellie wouldn't be here today!!

Mom and Dad showed Brutus and I a video and thought we might enjoy it.  It seems that Auntie Annie has another set of pups that she is helping raise (they have their pug momma).  These pups as far as we can tell are part pug and part shitzu - a pugzu!!  Hmmm pugzu... pug zoo - fits perfect.

Anyway here is the video of Ellie getting a taste of her own medicine by being harassed by the puppies :)  Enjoy!

"Obedience"

Ellie here at the keyboard again to tell you all how my first "obedience" class went. 

Thanks to everyone for all the support!  I particularly liked the advice I got from Pearl and also from Tiffy ;)  I am a free spirit and shouldn't be shackled down with mundane things like listening to what mom and dad are saying!

So anyway, Dad took me to class and mom met us there.  There were huge thunderstorms moving through the area at the time, so mom & dad blamed my erratic behaviour on the storms...

I am a very vocal pug and like to let all the other humans and doggies know that I have arrived.  To make sure I was not forgotten by anyone, I made sure I barked throughout the entire time we were there.  The instructor started talking to the class about nuisance barking and he kept pointing at me.  I am NOT a nuisance, who does this guy think he is anyway!!

To show my disdain at being taken to this class, I pooped just a little bit everytime I barked.  Oh, and I was sitting/standing on mom when I did all of this.  She was not happy with me when she saw what I was doing and put me down so she could clean off her shirt (yeah, good luck with that!!  BOL!!!!).  I then managed to smear some poop on her jeans as well.  Even after all of this they told me that we would be going to class again next week!

Mom and dad were listening intently to the instructor and were ignoring my barking.  However, whenever I quit barking for a bit, mom and dad would love on me and I would get treats for being a good girl.  Those treats are yummy and I am now torn between keeping my spirit free or being a good girl and listening to mom & dad and getting treats.  What's a little pug girl to do???

It's what time??

Hi everyone!!  Ellie here at the keyboard.  First off, mom would like to thank everyone for their kind words about Buddie. 

Second, I want to thank Wilma for letting me become a Sunflower Sister!!  I am so excited and can't wait for the next Sunflower event :)

So, anyway...  I need some help.  Mom & Dad came home on Friday evening and told me that they signed me up for Obedience classes.  Anyone know what this Obedience class thing is??  Yoda & Brutus told me that they never went to such a thing and couldn't tell me anything about it.  I heard them whispering and laughing right after I asked them about it, so I know they know what it is but won't tell me.

Because of this class I had to go to the vet on Saturday and get another shot.  This just doesn't seem right does it??  While at the vet's office waiting, we met this sweet little pug girl.  Mom didn't get her name.

 Ok, so I got a bit impatient with Dad....

**Mom's note - Ellie was barking like a mad woman at the vet's office.  The only time she was quiet is when she was offered a treat.

Mom did tell me that we get to go to the pet store and that I will get lots of treats, so this obedience thing sounds like it might be a fun thing...  but why would Yoda & Brutus think it is funny??

Mom and I were out in the backyard on Saturday and got to see one of Yoda's mortal enemies up close.  You can't see me in the picture, but I am just below the tree trying to figure out how to help Yoda out by capturing this guy for questioning...  He ran away before I had fully formulated a plan - lucky for him!

Yoda was relaxing by himself.  I heard him muttering something about younguns and youthful energy...

I guess I will find out soon enough what this obedience thing is all about since our first class is tonight.
