Pugs in need…

Hello all, we are going to take a break from our usual fun loving posts and talk about something serious for a minute.

Kentuckiana Pug Rescue (KPR) has had to close its doors temporarily to all incoming pugs in need.  There is a shortage of Foster Homes & Finances.

Even though we did not come from KPR, a lot of our friends did.  We hate to think of what would have happened to them had KPR not taken them in.

Take Lazarus here…

Lazarus_Standing_Small

…He was found nearly starved to death but the good people of KPR took him in and he is doing well thanks to the great volunteers of this organization.  You can read more of his story here.

So many other pugs need to be able to have the same second chance at life that Lazarus has had.

This is a great community of bloggers that we have here.  We know a lot of you are already involved in rescue organizations yourselves.

If you can donate, we know that KPR will put it to good use and hopefully their doors can be opened again soon.  If you can’t donate, that is ok too – we understand that the economy is still not where it should be.

You can also help by reposting/blogging about this message or even tweet it or post it on Facebook.  Mom posted a similar message on Facebook already and she wants to thank all the people who have already donated – KPR and the pugs thank you!!

Donations can be sent via paypal to matt1128@bellsouth.net (this is KPR’s paypal email).  Or you can visit their website here to make a donation.

  5. My friends,,
we left you a comment then all of a sudden - poof and blogger ate it. We got suspicious and came back- sure enough comment is gone. So here we are again.
Thank you for sharing the information about the rescue susupension for KPR. This is getting sadder for doggys everywhere. Now peoples are dumping them in the country where we live. The doggys come to our house and we feed them.
We will go buy more foods and bed tomorrows.
So sad, for Lazerus, and the many more that have this plight ahead of them. Your loving hearts are speaking many words.
    thank you

  6. The KPR having problems has been making my Mommy very sad cuz that is where Lincoln is from. He was found half starved and alone too. That anyone can hurt a dog, especially a pug should be a punishable offense :( We are working on helping the KPR now. Thanks for posting this.

  7. We really need to get better funding for theses organizations. We went to the Pug Rescuse of Florida event last weekend. It just makes us so sad to see a lot of humans around pugs that need homes and no one adopts!
