New "Friends"

We got new "friends" this week. Ok, mom and dad call them toys and what we do to them would not be considered friendly. Meet Chester Cheetah and Magilla Gorilla. They look very unsuspecting of the horror that will be done to them.

Mom got these for us from Kohl's for $5 each. She says these toys hold up alot better than the ones actually made for dogs. They don't have squeakers in them, but that is ok with us. These are now are favorite toys and we have been fighting over them all week. A good thing they got two of them :)

Wordless Wednesday

Greetings

Mom had to go back to work today. We just lounged around the house - we are still trying to recuperate from mom being on vacation. We gave mom and dad our best greeting when they pulled in the drive (mom and dad both got home at the same time).

This picture is of us at the front window. We like to stand on the window ledge and howl when we see mom/dad pull into the drive.

Park De Ja Vu...

So dad was on vacation to on Thursday and Friday. It rained on Thursday, so we didn't do much except lounge around the house with the pawrents. On Friday we went to the park, again! Twice in one week, we couldn't believe it. I think I want mom and dad to be on vacation more often :)

On our way to the park. Dad thinks we might try and jump out, so he doesn't put the windows down very far.

We didn't see any ducks this time, but we did see this baby turtle.

Mom was brave and revisited the area where the camera went into the water. The good news is that she took this picture with the same camera! Can you believe after it dried out it still works?

Taking a break on the trail
After the walk... Look at that tongue!

After we got back from our walk, mom and dad went to a baseball game. We couldn't go, because dogs aren't allowed at the park. Here is a panoramic view of Victory Field where the Indianapolis Indians play.

There were even fireworks after the game. It's a good thing we didn't go, because we are both scared of fireworks. They are very pretty in pictures though.

It's gonna be a good weekend :)

Hummel Park

Mom's second day of vacation and she decided to take us to Hummel Park in Plainfield, IN. Mom said she had never been there before and wasn't sure what to expect. She sure took her sweet time getting ready to go.

Come on, let's go already!
In the car and ready to go.
This is the footbridge going over White Lick Creek.

There were so many trees, we tried to stop and sniff them all.
My arch-nemesis, the squirrel.
Momma duck and her ducklings. We were very nice and did not disturb them.

And, we're walking

so many things to sniff...

White River Creek. We stopped here to cool off and get a drink. Unfortunately, somehow the camera ended up in the water after this picture was taken. Mom is blaming Brutus and I for tugging on the leash, but I think she was just clumsy and is using us as the scapegoats.
Home again... We were exhausted.

It was a very nice park and I heard mom telling dad on the phone that she would like to take us there more often. There weren't very many people there and it was nice and quiet. Gotta go and take another nap, still pretty tired from the walk.

Vacation!!!!

Hooray, mom is on vacation this week!!! The weekend was pretty boring, except that we got to supervise mom putting together a new table for the deck...
I tried to help take the plastic off.
Brutus did a much better job helping than I did.
There was alot of plastic and bubble wrap... See the kitties in the background, they didn't even try to help. All they wanted to do was look out the window.
Brutus inspecting one of the table legs.
Yep, that looks good.
Finally put together and out on the deck.
Time to relax....

Mom says that now we can go sit out on the deck more since there will be some shade for us pugs. We did get to sit out on the deck for a little while today, but we fooled her because we laid in the sun. Hope everyone had a good weekend.
