Happiness Amid the Sadness

We are slowly recovering from the loss of Yoda.  Thank you all so much for your support.  It is amazing how the Blog world rallies around those in need.

Despite the heartbreaking loss of Yoda, we need to celebrate a a very special day today.  Brutus' birthday is today and he turned 8 years young today!

Happy Birthday Brutus!!

Since it has been a rough weekend, we took Brutus & Ellie to PetSmart to help Brutus celebrate his birthday.

Ellie was anxious to get going...
"Are we there yet?!"
Brutus was contemplative on the drive over...

Brutus couldn't stop smiling.

Hmmm, should I get this one Ellie?
So many stuffies to choose from!
Brutus did finally pick out a stuffy and will show it to you later.

We had to stop for gas - hey Dad, why did we stop?

Hurry up and fill this beast up and let's go home so I can play with my new toy!

Hey Mom - thanks for the day out!!
I got a new stuffy toy!!
Seriously - aren't you going to throw it?

Yay!!

Brutus had a blast playing with his new stuffy and wore himself out...

Thanks again to all of you - your comforting words have helped us through the last couple of days and will continue to help as we mourn the loss of Yoda.

God Bless...

Another Angel on the Bridge

Pug mama here. This will be a short post but I wanted to let all of you know that Yoda went to the bridge today. He went peacefully and did not suffer. He was only 9 and this was very unexpected.

He was my heart dog and he will forever be my baby doggy, which is what I called him often.

I can't believe he is gone.

I will ALWAYS Love you Yoda!!

Until we meet again my sweet baby doggy...

March In The Pugs - 2012

Hey everyone!  We have missed you all...  mom has been pretty busy with school and work and that hasn't left much time for blogging.

Anywho, this past weekend was Kentuckiana Pug Rescue's fundraising event, March In The Pugs!!!

Brutus and I didn't get to go - dad wasn't going to be at the event the entire day and mom couldn't watch all 3 of us by herself.  We were a bit dissapointed, but it was also nice to have an Ellie free day at home ;)

I will let Ellie tell you all about the event...

Oh my pug, it was so much fun!  There were so many people and dogs to bark at - which is what I did most of the day.  Mom kept trying to shush me, but doesn't she know that I had to make my presence known to EVERYONE!!!

Pugs In The Kitchen was a vendor at the event, so mom was busy working the booth most of the day.

Here is the PITK booth... All of the treats are very nommy!!

PITK also make and sell these cute little collar charms...

The adoptable pug area had lots of visitors...

Mom really wanted to take this guy home - he was just so sweet.

Another adoptable pug.

Hey mom - how about a treat or 5 down here!!

Romeo of the Pug Posse all ready for the best dressed contest - he came in second.

Best dressed contest for the girl pugs

KPR invited Indianapolis Animal Care & Control to the event.  Every doggy deserves a home and IACC has lots that are in need of furever homes too!

Best kisser contest - the doggy in this picture is Hugo giving his handler lots of sloppy kisses.  I came in 3rd place in this contest!!  Mom thought Hugo was a very sweet and handsome fella.

Seriously, I need some more treats!

Our friend Gus of the Pug Posse

Eddie of the Pug Posse was worried that his harness made his butt look big.

Here is Miss Mia enjoying sitting on her mama's lap.

And Eddie getting some love from my mama on her lap...

Time to go home - I was sooo tired that I slept the entire ride home and then slept a bunch more when I got home.  I did wake up long enough to have supper though :)

Mom wishes she would have gotten more pictures.  Our furiends Zoe, Peyton, Webster & Liberty were at the event too, but mama forgot to get pictures of them.

KPR's next event is on June 2nd and is going to be in Fort Wayne, IN which is mama's home town.  We ALL get to go and we will also get to spend some time with Grandma & Grandpa.
