The Big Day!

Mom & Dad came home early from work on Friday and loaded us up in the car.  This was very unusual and the last time we went for a car ride during the week it was to go visit our new sister.

Sure enough, we pulled up in front of the same house and we knew we were going for a visit with our sister.

While we were there, mom started filling out a bunch of paperwork and was talking to Miss Annie about "Sally".  Little did we know at the time that this was her gotcha day.

We would like to officially welcome our new sister to the family (since we don't have a choice really).  Right now  her name is "Sally", which is the name she had while with Miss Annie.  Mom & dad aren't sure if this is going to be her name, but for the purposes of writing about her on the blog right now it will be.  If any of you have any ideas for names - mom & dad said they are open for suggestions.

"Sally"
Birthday - 10-13-10
Gotcha Day - 12-10-10

At Miss Annie's - Sally was asking if she could take Snoopy home (of course the answer was "yes")

Brutus and Sally...

Me and Sally (I made that face just for the camera... really, I did)

Finally home.  Sally's first meal in her new home.

She was worn out so she took a nap (she also got to bring home one of the bears that Aunt Punchy sent to the Peanuts gang several weeks ago)

Dinner time for mom - in typical pug fashion, Sally offered to help her eat it.

I begrudgingly let her sleep near me....for a little while anyway.

Are we really keeping her? ....

So, that was Friday night.  Mom says that Sally did really well both Friday and Saturday nights.  She slept 5 hours each night without having to go out to potty.  We are about 50/50 with accidents in the house and potties outside.  In Sally's defense it is cold and snowy outside and Brutus and I don't want to go out there either!

She tried out Brutus' bed.... Look how tiny she is in it!

Mom & dad got this cool stuffy for us - Sally just loves it.

Going outside this afternoon.  That cute pink jacket she has on is from The Pug Posse.

Since she tried to take over the sock monkey bed, mom brought out the Snoopy bed for Sally.

There has also been plenty of playtime.  Brutus and I still aren't quite sure how to play with Sally without hurting her, so playtime mainly consists of her running around us and barking.

Being the good big brother that I am, I showed her the toy box (maybe this way she would leave me alone).

Brutus and Sally taking a nap on mom's lap.

Einstein joined in - see her there behind Brutus?

OMG!!!  Brutus shared his sock monkey bed with her too!!!

Posing for the camera...

Showing off her new sweater.

That has been our weekend.  She is slowly worming her way into our hearts.  We hope everyone is having a good weekend out there.  We know a bunch of areas got snow, so we hope everyone is staying safe and warm.

  3. Sally is super, super cute! I'll bet Santa leaves you all early Christmas presents since she's there.

Mom said Sally was always her favorite on The Peanuts, so we all like the name. You could just call her Peanut, though, since she looks like a little one.

  5. Oh Sally is a good name but it would be fun to pick out a name right? Mom wants to name our next pug Waffles (yep she is crazy I mean look at our names). Mom also like Poppy (like the flower kinda goes with our theme here). There is a pug in our group named Dooney.

Sally looks like so much fun and work. Did she like that you showed her the toy bin.

    Hugs,

  12. Welcome home Sally (for now)! You have awesome big brothers to play with you and protect you.

Our mom isn't one for "normal" names. Thus Tallulah Sweet Pea and Petunia Tulip Julep. Originally, there was only supposed to be one of us (mom couldn't decide), and she was supposed to be Annabelle. But mom said our names just came to her when she saw us. BUT, she likes names like Eugenia, Eulalie, Savannah, blah blah blah. Is it any wonder that we are bad with names like that?

  19. Yeah!!!! So happy for you all! We actually think the name Sally is so cute! We had thought of a new name from Kiki when she was adopted from KPR, but then thought of how lucky she was to have Annie as her mama and decided to stick with the name given to her.

We can't wait to see more photos of her growing up with her big brothers!

  22. Oh Yoda, I'm sorry about the new addition. She looks like she is pretty stinking adorable so I bet she gets a lot of attention for awhile. If you and Brutus need a place to come and hang out for awhile until this all blows over, you are always welcome in St. Louis.

    Later!
