4th of July Weekend

We hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July weekend!

WARNING - Photo Heavy Post Ahead!!!!

On Saturday, we went to see mom's family.  There was good food, drink and conversation.

Come on - We are ready to go!!

You did remember snacks, right??

Move over Brutus, I want to look out the window...

Ahhhh, fresh air.

These are some cool plant holders that my uncle made.

Grandma & Grandpa live way out in the country so we were given somewhat off-leash privileges.

meaning our leashes were still attached to us, but no one was holding them (mom & dad were afraid that we would run off and fall in the creek that runs past the property)

the grass felt so good to roll around on :)

Brutus was checking to see if the hostas needed watering.

Brutus was all smiles

Staying near the people to see if any crumbs of food dropped.

This butterfly landed on our uncles arm and stayed there for a long time - so cool.

Dad playing corn hole.

Brutus chilling out on dad's lap.

Watching and relaxing.

Brutus relaxing in the grass (mom & dad finally took our leashes off)

Brutus took a nap on dad's lap.

Some cool sidewalk chalk art that our human cousins did...

This huge silver maple came down during a storm a couple of weeks ago.  Mom and her brothers used to play in this tree and even had a tree house in it.  She was pretty sad to see that it had fallen.

On our way home - we were both ready to get home.

That was the end of our weekend escapades.  However, it wasn't the end of the weekend for mom & dad - they went to our other Grandpa's for the 4th of July.  He doesn't have air conditioning and it was supposed to be in the high 80's and they thought we would be more comfortable in the a/c at home.

On their way to Grandpa's they saw these...
Wind Farms - in Northern Indiana.  They go as far as the eye can see.

There was a whole festival going on right by Grandpa's house.
There was a car show with some really nice cars.

Mom really wanted this one...

This guy had a great spot to chill out.

He was inside this car.

Mom thought this was a cool paint job.

This is right by Grandpa's and is the family that the town is name after.

Look who they saw there - it was Lilo and her mom!!

Here was the view from Grandpa's back porch.

Mom and dad also got to play with this little girl, her name is shadow...

Mom is on vacation this week and she has promised us some adventures if it isn't too hot out.  We can't wait to tell you all about it!

  8. Hi Yoda & Brutus! You guys had a great weekend! Woo hoo! Lots of off leash time visiting with the peeps is the best, isn't it? And I know you got lots of treats because that's what holidays are for.

Too bad you couldn't go to your other grandpa's house but no pug wants to be with ac! And how cool was it that your parents ran into Lilo and her mom? Awesome!

Pee-s: Mom said she saw a huge wind farm while she was driving on I65 to Indy. I wonder if it is the same one you guys saw.

  14. Shadow is adorable! Oh but not as adorable as you two. She was a tiny little girl.
Anyway, your uncle makes some cool yard art. Ever tried his hand at a pug?
    Keep it cool boys.
