It's what time??

Hi everyone!!  Ellie here at the keyboard.  First off, mom would like to thank everyone for their kind words about Buddie.

Second, I want to thank Wilma for letting me become a Sunflower Sister!!  I am so excited and can't wait for the next Sunflower event :)

So, anyway...  I need some help.  Mom & Dad came home on Friday evening and told me that they signed me up for Obedience classes.  Anyone know what this Obedience class thing is??  Yoda & Brutus told me that they never went to such a thing and couldn't tell me anything about it.  I heard them whispering and laughing right after I asked them about it, so I know they know what it is but won't tell me.

Because of this class I had to go to the vet on Saturday and get another shot.  This just doesn't seem right does it??  While at the vet's office waiting, we met this sweet little pug girl.  Mom didn't get her name.

Look at me being a good girl while I was waiting ;)
Ok, so I got a bit impatient with Dad....
**Mom's note - Ellie was barking like a mad woman at the vet's office.  The only time she was quiet is when she was offered a treat.

Mom did tell me that we get to go to the pet store and that I will get lots of treats, so this obedience thing sounds like it might be a fun thing...  but why would Yoda & Brutus think it is funny??

Mom and I were out in the backyard on Saturday and got to see one of Yoda's mortal enemies up close.  You can't see me in the picture, but I am just below the tree trying to figure out how to help Yoda out by capturing this guy for questioning...  He ran away before I had fully formulated a plan - lucky for him!

Just chilling with Brutus on Saturday.

Yoda was relaxing by himself.  I heard him muttering something about younguns and youthful energy...

I guess I will find out soon enough what this obedience thing is all about since our first class is tonight.
I don't have anything to be worried about, do I?

  1. Class will be fun and there will be treats involved especially if it's at a pet store! Can't wait to hear about your new adventure.
I've been to classes at PetsMart and it was good.Of course I was the star student....

  2. Just think, every time you do something right treats and cookies. If the teacher says no treats that's when you start playing hookie

  3. I would be very worried, Ellie. Anything that involves listening to my parents is something I don't like to do. I'm a free spirit like you and I don't feel as if training is something I want or need to do. I think you should suddenly fall sick tonight or hijack the car so that you don't have to go. Maybe Brutus and Yoda can help you since they are older and wiser.

    Good luck girl!

  5. Oh Ellie, you have nothing to worry about, girlfriend!

My momma took me to that class and here is how it went.

    1. People tell me to do things.
    2. I refuse.
    3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 over and over and over.
    4. All the other doggies in the class are very 'obedient'.
    5. Momma finally gets embarrassed and we never went back.

YAY!!! See, you have nothing to worry about! Just remember to REFUSE to be obedient, ok?!?!

  6. I like Pearl's approach to the classes. Mom took me for 8 weeks (which seemed more like 8 months). Luckily, there was this spastic Min-Pin that never did anyting he was supposed to. Not even once. That lead the instuctor to believe that I was an obedient angel! Sit right by the worst pupil and you should be fine. The treats aren't bad, have to say.

  7. Good luck! We dropped out of our obedience class... but Mom did not like the lady who taught it. She was very rude.

  8. We are big fans of education here. Mom's going for her PhD! We are not. But we might be doing some agility training or something this summer. It's fun to be with your mom, make her proud and get treats. And you get to show off and get even more attention. It's awesome.
    Good luck in school!
