Pugs in need…

Hello all, we are going to take a break from our usual fun loving posts and talk about something serious for a minute.

Kentuckiana Pug Rescue (KPR) has had to close its doors temporarily to all incoming pugs in need.  There is a shortage of Foster Homes & Finances.

Even though we did not come from KPR, a lot of our friends did.  We hate to think of what would have happened to them had KPR not taken them in.

Take Lazarus here…

Lazarus_Standing_Small

…He was found nearly starved to death but the good people of KPR took him in and he is doing well thanks to the great volunteers of this organization.  You can read more of his story here.

So many other pugs need to be able to have the same second chance at life that Lazarus has had.

This is a great community of bloggers that we have here.  We know a lot of you are already involved in rescue organizations yourselves.

If you can donate, we know that KPR will put it to good use and hopefully their doors can be opened again soon.  If you can’t donate, that is ok too – we understand that the economy is still not where it should be.

You can also help by reposting/blogging about this message or even tweet it or post it on Facebook.  Mom posted a similar message on Facebook already and she wants to thank all the people who have already donated – KPR and the pugs thank you!!

Donations can be sent via paypal to matt1128@bellsouth.net (this is KPR’s paypal email).  Or you can visit their website here to make a donation.

Squirrel Watching - Kitty Style….

Greetings once again, Einstein here along with Miko & Max….  We distracted our Pug brothers with a squeaky toy – they are so easy to fool!!

Well, we saw their post about their squirrel observation techniques and we felt compelled to respond.

They think they are so clever barking and attacking the windows.  All that does is make the squirrels laugh at them. 100_4593

Us kitties use a far superior technique….  we stalk – this way we can sneak up on the squirrel unsuspectingly and, if there wasn’t glass in between us, go in for the kill.100_4594

SQUIRRELS!!!

Well, mom forgot to include in our blog yesterday photos of our sworn enemy, the Squirrel.  I told her several times not to forget to include them…. you just can’t find good help these days!

Can you see him – you may have to biggify some of these photos to see the invaders.100_4516

How dare they come into our yard!!100_4517

Watching….

It’s a beautiful Fall day here in Indy.

Of course Fall brings the squirrel brigade out so we have been dutifully defending the homestead from them.

Here Brutus is showing his technique of standing and using the windowsill for leverage to get some extra good barks.

I of course prefer to stand on the back of the sofa.  This vantage point gives a wonderful view of the yard. 100_4493
