The Visit…

Well, mom & dad were being pretty secretive yesterday when they put our harnesses on and said we were going for a car ride…

We ended up at a house that we have never been to before.  So when we went inside we caught a familiar scent – it was the same smell that mom & dad have been coming home smelling like a couple of times over the past couple of weeks.

So mom & dad took us into this room and said we would like you to meet your new sister!!!!!  Ok, we can deal with this…  Wait… there are three of them!!  Um Brutus, I think we are outnumbered and we should probably stick together….

**Mom’s note – Sally (name subject to change) is the one with the tail that curls to the left.  Her littermates are Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty.

Sally must have already known that we are going to be her big brothers because she kept following us around.

Do you all notice something odd about the previous pictures?  If you saw that I was not in a lot of them you would be right – I chose to spend my time just observing instead of interacting.

If you ask mom, she would tell you that I kept trying to find a way out of the room.  I was observing, really!

Ok, are you all ready for a cuteness overload?? 

Here goes….

We overheard that Sally will be coming home with us in about a week and a half (she will be 8 weeks old at that time).

We will keep you all updated on our new baby sister….

Thankful Thanksgiving Thursday

On this Thanksgiving we wanted to list some of the things we are thankful for.

The Investigation Continues….

So, Mom & Dad snuck off again on Thursday evening without us…

This gave us the chance to do some more investigation on mom’s computer.  We found a file labeled Peanuts Visit – 11-10-10.

We found a bunch of pictures…

And look at this!  That is OUR dad holding a puppy!!!!!

and mom too!!  And look at that – that puppy has just a little bit of white on the left paw!!!!!  What is that puppy doing giving kisses to OUR mom??!!

Also, with a little help from Kiki, we were able to figure out the song that mom has been singing.  We knew it had something to do with turtles but Kiki reminded us about the “turtle pug” song that nanny Annie used to sing to her and her brothers & sisters.

Brutus and I have the sneaky suspicion that we are getting a baby sister…

The Plot Thickens…..

Goodness, we received several good clues from you all. 

We started thinking about what Sequoia & Tuni said about the Peanuts Gang and then Pearl commented about a puppy cam….  That got our wheels turning...

That would explain the mom & dad talking about Peanuts – but what could the references to the white glove and turtle song mean??

To answer this – we had to do some snooping around on mom’s computer.

We looked at the history on her internet browser and she has been watching that puppy cam an awful lot lately.

As we did more searching we found this picture on mom’s computer of one of the Peanuts gang.


Check out the left paw – it’s got white on it!  Could this be the reference to the “white glove” we heard them talking about??

You don’t think they would….no it can’t be….they would consult us first right?  No this can’t be it – it has to be something else.

Oh, gotta go….mom’s coming!

What’s this all about…

We would like to start out by thanking everyone for their help with our little mystery.

Unfortunately, as suggested by Sequoia & Tuni, the Hamburger Helper Hand is not coming to our house….We wish because that would be pawsome!!

Anyway, we have done some investigating the past few days.

We are still unsure of what the white glove means, but we did find out that it doesn’t have anything to do with cleaning and our pawrents aren’t in a play either.

Now, the song that mom was singing has something to do with turtles, but we still can’t quite hear the whole thing….we keep getting distracted by the squirrels outside too…

We did find another clue.  Mom and dad were talking about peanuts.  Hmmm…we do love peanut butter…..

We are going to keep digging and get to the bottom of this.
