Weekend Update

Not much going on around here.  We have been watching the Olympics this past week.  Last night was USA vs. Canada in hockey and mom did alot of yelling at the TV.  It was a good game with the USA winning!

In other olympic news, mom's other country, Latvia, now has two silver medals in these olympics! Martins Dukures, shown below, received a silver medal in the skeleton.

Latvia also received a silver medal in the men's luge double - brothers Andris & Juris Sics

Previous to these olympics, Latvia only had one bronze medal from previous olympics.

Mom & dad were both home with us today as they weren't feeling well.  We made sure to give her extra snuggles to help her feel better and we are pretty sure it is working!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day

Mom was slacking this weekend and didn't let us on the computer to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day yesterday.  She said she was busy studying for school (although she did have time to make some cookies, which she didn't even share with us!).

Thanks to Stubby for organizing the Valentine's Day card exchange - we loved getting the cards and are still expecting a couple more.  Mom was nice and has been putting them up on the bookshelf for all to enjoy. 

Hope everyone had a good weekend and a very Happy Valentine's Day! 

Anyone out there watching the Olympics?  We have been enjoying it and rooting for not only USA but for mom's other country - Latvia (grandpa (mom's dad) is from Latvia).  They have only ever medaled once in the winter olympics - 4 years ago in Torino with a bronze in the Luge.

One of the Latvian athletes, Haralds Silovs, made olympic history on Saturday by competing in not only the speed skating long track, but on the speed skating short track also!

Happy Birthday Yoda!!

Yoda here - I am 7 years old today!  I have a little bit more gray in my face but I still act like a young pup according to mom. 

I have been blessed to have such a great family - Mom, Dad, Brutus, Max, Miko & Einstein.  I also have found such good friends in the past year - lots at pug meetup and my bloggy friends. 

Mom has to go to class tonight, but she promised to give me some extra belly rubs and treats when she gets home :)

We would like to give a big thank you for the tennis balls - Brutus is currently in his bed sleeping with on of the balls.
